EDC Fall 2019 auditions will be held on September 7th at 12:00pm.
2. Where are auditions held?

66 Garden Street, Cambridge, MA 02138
*HDC is located next to the QRAC (Quadrangle Recreational Athletic Center), which is across the street from Currier House in the Harvard-Radcliffe Quad.
**EXP auditions will be in Studio 2.
3. How long are auditions?
Company auditions run from 12:00 - 4:00pm.
All company auditionees are invited to stay for EXP auditions from 4:30 - 5:30pm.
4. What is audition day like?
Sign-ins will open at 00:00, at which time auditionees are welcomed into the studio for individual warm-up and stretching. After Direx introductions, the fall choreographers will each explain their goals for the semester and show a segment of their choreography. Auditionees will rank their choreographer preferences and provide scheduling availability via the Audition Day Form.
Everyone will learn a short segment of choreography, which will then be performed in small groups. Choreographers will have the opportunity to see each dancer through this process and to rate their preferences. This process will be repeated with a second segment of choreography.
5. Do I need a certain level of dance experience to audition for EDC?
We encourage people of all backgrounds and experience levels to audition...
all you need to bring is confidence.
Everyone who auditions will be invited to join the company.
6. What do I wear to auditions?
Choose clothes you find comfortable to move in and feel confident wearing.
Many people come in what they consider workout outfits or athleisure-wear.
*Due to HDC studio policy, all dancers must be barefoot or in socks.
Dance shoes are permitted but not required.

We've also had pre-college and post-grad dancers.

It's up to you!
Each piece holds a 2-hour rehearsal once a week, and members may be a part of up to 3 performance pieces each semester. EDC also hosts a series of workshops that run throughout the semester.
